As the Jews of old prepared for the coming of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, we now prepare ourselves to when He will come again. Every Advent we spiritually prepare ourselves to meet our Savior face-to-face. As incarnational beings we use physical things (rosaries, candles, etc.) to guide our minds and hearts to holy things. We at Benedictus want to help you open yourself to God, who will renew your heart for communion with him. Consider this prayer during this blessed season:
Hail and blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born of the most pure Virgin Mary, at midnight, in Bethlehem, in piercing cold. In that hour, vouchsafe, O my God! to hear my prayer and grant my desires, through the merits of Our Savior Jesus Christ, and of His Blessed Mother.
